Welcome to the Dreigiau Bach website - a Welsh medim playgroup for South London families.
The group was established in November 2004, as a response to a need for a service for families with young children that live too far from the Welsh School site in Stonebridge Park, North London.
It has been a great success from the outset, with the enthusiasm of both the parents and children apparent.
It provides a great opportunity for the children to make friends and have fun through the medium of Welsh, and for the parents to support each other in bringing their children up bilingually.
The group is a member of the Welsh Nursery Schools Association.
We have a close association with the London Welsh School. This school provides a unique opportunity outside Wales to educate at both nursery and primary level through the medium of Welsh. Any family considering educating their child at the school, after a head start at the Dreigiau Bach Playgroup, would be welcome to arrange to meet the headteacher and visit the school. Members of Dreigiau Bach are also welcome to take part in the Welsh School's varied social events including ceilidh dancing evenings, traditional performances at 'noson lawen' evenings, and their excellent annual sports day and barbeque.
